Updating the Rates & Reservations content

• STORE THE ORIGINAL FILES •

Save both files (synergy_rates.xls and synergy_rates.htm) in drive "C:" under "synergy_content" directory or folder.
So, when you browse the folder - it should shows the "C:\synergy_content" in the address bar.

• INSTALL SITE PUBLISHER •

Double-click "sitepb20.exe" - follow the on screen installation menu.
We can use the default destination folder for now - which should be "C:\Program Files\Helexis\Site Publisher v2"

If it's running properly it should ask gives the option to create shortcut on the desktop and to run the program now.

Click next and leave the program open. We'll use the program later - after we've done the changes on Excel.

• EDITING THE EXCEL FILE •

MS Excel 2000 or XP (MS Office 10) version can be used to edit the file. The later version have more feature than previous.

Open the synergy_rates.htm file - to see the original file before being updated.

Open the synergy_rates.xls file, either by double-click on the icon or from the Excels' pull-down menu ("File : Open..." or "Ctrl + O")

Notice that the only editable area has pale yellow background color.

Do any changes as necessary.

Note:
If you're using MS Excel 2000 - you might need to unprotect the worksheet first.
To do this: access the pulldown menu "Tools : Protection : Unprotect Sheet..."

:: For MS Excel XP ::
If you're using this version, all you have to do is save the changes and we're ready to upload.
This version of Excel has Autopublish feature each time the file saved which the previous version doesn't.

:: For MS Excel 2000 ::

1. Go to pulldown menu "File : Save as Web Page..." - Click here to view screenshot...
   
   
2. The following window should appear... press "Publish..." - DO NOT press 'Save' !!
   
   
   
3. Select 'Previously published items' inside the "Choose:" entry.
   
   
4. Press "Publish..."
   
   (you can 'tick' the option to 'Open published web page in browser' - or you can refresh the previously opened synergy_rates.htm file )
   
   
5. Close synergy_rates.xls file.

• UPLOAD THE CHANGES WITH SITE PUBLISHER •

1. Enter the necessary details as required: (as shown)
• Host Name or IP address:
• Username
• Password
• Local Folder
• Remote Folder


*You only need to do this once. The next time you need to upload the changes, select profile you've entered - then synchronize..


2. The only button you need to press is "Synchronize" - you should be able to see the upload progress.
